Welcome to

Jubilee Arts is the next chapter of the beloved Jube School program, reimagined and expanded into a vibrant arts hub for the communities of Edmonton, Calgary and beyond. While continuing the inspiring youth education programs that have made Jube School a cornerstone for thousands of students, Jubilee Arts now opens the doors even wider. Through creative workshops, community events, artist activations, and unique experiences both inside the Jubilee Auditoria and out in the community, Jubilee Arts brings people of all ages closer to the arts. As a growing centre for creativity, learning, and cultural connection, Jubilee Arts is helping shape the Jubilee into one of Alberta’s most dynamic destinations for artistic discovery and engagement.

Formerly known as Jube School

Our Programs

  • Community Events

Jubilee Arts brings creativity beyond the stage and into the heart of the community, meeting people where they are. Through pop-ups, workshops, and local partnerships, we deliver hands-on arts experiences in schools, public spaces, and community hubs across Alberta!

  • 5 Day Programs

Jubilee Arts invites teachers to move their classroom to our site for a week of hands-on, arts-integrated learning. Students engage in inquiry-based activities, tours, and journaling, deepening their connection to the arts. This innovative model is in partnership with Inquiring Minds in Edmonton and Calgary Campus - Open Minds in Calgary.

  • Recorded Workshop Library

Our free virtual workshops bring the arts directly into your classroom, offering engaging sessions in a variety of art forms. Led by experienced artists and educators, these hands-on workshops are tailored to different grade levels and are accessible to schools across Alberta, making arts education fun and accessible.

  • Field Trips

We offer half-day, full-day, and multi-day customized field trips tailored to your needs. These interactive arts education experiences support personal and social growth, inspiring students to explore creativity in fresh, engaging ways. Each program is designed to be meaningful, memorable, and rooted in the Alberta curriculum.

  • Backstage Access

Backstage Access is a unique event for high school students to explore the technical side of the entertainment industry. Participants take part in four hands-on workshops covering areas like lighting, audio, set design, makeup, costumes, and more. Open to all high school students, it's a chance to gain practical skills and behind-the-scenes experience.

  • Tech like a Girl

Tech like a Girl is a technical arts career pathway initiative for students interested in a career in the technical arts. We are proud to launch this initiative, as we believe it is important to mentor, teach, empower, and encourage the next generation of theatre technicians in Alberta.

  • Arts Education Day

Each year during Culture Days, Jubilee Arts organizes a variety show featuring live cultural performances in one venue, while high school performing arts workshops take place in the other. For 2026, Edmonton will host the workshops, and Calgary will host the performances, which will also be live-streamed for teachers across Alberta.

  • Now Casting: Your Next Big Idea

Jubilee Arts partners with local and touring artists to co-host engaging workshops, talks, and creative events that connect directly with our community. We’re actively looking to collaborate with artists across disciplines who are interested in sharing their craft inside the Jubilee Auditoriums and beyond. We can provide the platform, space, audience, and support to bring your ideas to life.

Upcoming Community Events

“I saw students develop a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. They learned to appreciate each other's differences and value through art, music, play, dance, poetry, games, drawing, etc. I noticed that some of the quieter students became more confident and participated in group discussions and activities by asking/answering questions and even spoke in front of an audience. I'm so proud of their growth and improvement!” - Grade 4 EPSB teacher
