The Barkells are Edmonton’s must see party band. Covering all genres with more than 300 face melting, booty shaking hits, there’s simply no way you can resist a good sing along. This charismatic six piece band rocks any stage they can find, including corporate events, weddings, and festivals. The Barkells got their start as the house band at The Denizen Freehouse in Edmonton’s Ice District, selling out shows up to 3 times a week, for 4 years strong. The Barkells have also played opening slots in Ford Hall at Rogers Place, for huge acts like Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen, and the Lumineers. This incredibly diverse, and infectiously fun band has a little something for everyone and is sure to set the party on fire every time.
